Description
Foghorn & Yogee lived in the Coquihalla Valley 150 years ago. These two characters were written about by a journalist who traveled from New York to Washing Territory in 1872. The man’s name was Auburn McGover. Information from that era indicates he was self-employed with his own publishing house called Western Folklore.During his time in the territory, McGover listened to mountain men talking about the adventures of these two characters. This led him to write a dime novel called, The Adventures of Foghorn and YoGee.A two-year search of the upper Coquihalla Valley, has led to a major discovery, Foghorn’s Wooden Grave Marker.
